Workshop Schedule

Sunday Heppner

Sunday Heppner grew up in the state of Washington on a humble family farm.  Ultimately, she made her way to Orange County and attended California State University Long Beach. She graduated as a Music Major, then went on to receive her teaching credential. As a singer/songwriter, Sunday appeared on "Dick Clark's American Bandstand".  Later, her musical background helped her become a creative and innovative author and teacher. Also, she has been in the "Who's Who Among America's Teachers" 2005 -2006 and 2006 - 2007.

Sunday Heppner has been an author, singer/songwriter, mentor/coach, and elementary school teacher for over thirty years. Currently, she teaches second grade and actively mentors/coaches the first through third grade teachers at Beatty School. Beatty is a California Distinguished Title 1 School which has achieved the National Title 1 Academic Achievement Award four years in a row (2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010).

Each year Sunday is challenged by children who are struggling, at risk, English Language Learners (ELL), and RSP students.  By using her power teaching whole brain strategies, she transforms these struggling learners into enthusiastic children. You just can't believe they're the same group of children. Their attitude towards school and learning are reflected in their test scores. Her power teaching whole brain strategies and lessons have been so successful that they are receiving interest throughout the world.

In addition, Sunday Heppner has been giving homeschooling parents, parents, and teacher workshops in California, Washington, and Arizona. Sunday's audiences are empowered, energized, and entertained. They walk away revitalized in their approach to teaching. In 2008, she appeared on The Audrey Franklyn Interview Show and The Women's Network TV Show.

Sunday Heppner is the author of three books, "Creative Teaching * Hurrah", "Standard Based Curriculum Revitalized (English Language Arts)" and "Standard Based Curriculum Revitalized (Mathematics)".  Her books (generic teacher manuals) are for grades 1-3 or ages 5-9. These books are not just for children who are struggling learners but are excellent for the high achievers too. Her whole brain lessons give children the opportunity to actively participate in a leadership role which builds self confidence and respect for oneself and others. The longevity of her power teaching whole brain strategies and lessons have been motivating children and teachers for over twenty-five years. Sunday Heppner is a living example of powerful teaching!
