Intro to Homeschooling Part 7: Common Core

The Common Core has zero impact on homeschoolers in the state of WA.

    1. In order for it to impact homeschoolers, RCW 28A.225.010(4), the law specifying the 11 subjects, would have to change. It has remained the same for 32 years.
    2. The SAT, PSAT, and ACT have been between 60-100% aligned with the CCS since 2009. During the intervening years, homeschooler’s scores have continued to rise, while public schooler’s scores have declined. The CCS have had zero impact on us.
