Washington State Fair Tickets for Homeschoolers

Washington State Fair – 2026 Free Tickets for Homeschoolers
Fair Dates: September 4– September 27, 2026
(Closed Tuesdays )

The Washington Homeschool Organization (WHO) has coordinated with the Washington State Fair to provide free
tickets to homeschooling families. Please follow the steps below carefully to ensure you receive your tickets.

Step 1 — Contact Your Local School District (West Side)
If you live in Western Washington, start by contacting your local school district. Districts on the west side are required to
include homeschoolers in their ticket orders from the Fair.

Step 2 — Mail Directly to the Fair (East Side or If District Declines)
If you live in Eastern Washington, or if your district does not honor your ticket request, mail the following documents
directly to the Fair:

Include the following with your mailing:
1. Declaration of Intent to Provide Home-Based Instruction — Your 2025–2026 Declaration is acceptable (2026–2027 filing is not required until September 15, 2026). This document must include your school district’s logo.
2. A self-addressed, stamped envelope so your tickets can be mailed back to you.
3. A note with your name and phone number.
4. If your district declined your request: include the reason why, plus the name and phone number of the district staff member you spoke with.
5. For children ages 6 or 7: send a note to the Fair listing the child’s name and age. No Declaration is needed.

What You’ll Receive
Student Tickets: One ticket per student, ages 6 – 18

Adult / Educator Ticket: One educator ticket per household
Children Under 6: Free — no ticket needed

Please take only one ticket per student (plus one educator ticket/household) from a single
organization. This helps ensure the program continues to be available to all homeschooling families.
