Washington State Fair – 2025 Free Tickets for Homeschoolers
Fair Dates: August 29 – September 21, 2025
(Closed Tuesdays and Wednesday, September 3)
The Washington Homeschool Organization has partnered with the Washington State Fair to offer free admission tickets to homeschool families. To receive your tickets, please carefully follow the instructions below:
STEP 1: Check with Your Local School District
If you live in Western Washington:
Your school district is required to include homeschoolers in their ticket order from the
Fair. Contact your local district to request tickets.
If you live in Eastern Washington:
Most Eastside districts do not automatically receive tickets. You will likely need to
request tickets directly from the Washington State Fair (see Step 2).

STEP 2: If Your District Cannot Provide Tickets or You Live in Eastern Washington
Mail the following to:
Washington State Fair
Attn: Malena Gaskins – School Ticket Program
110 9th Avenue SW
Puyallup, WA 98371-0162
Include:
1. A copy of your 2024–2025 Declaration of Intent to Provide Home-Based Instruction
(must include your school district’s logo). You are not required to submit your
2025–2026 declaration until after September 15, 2025.
2. A self-addressed, stamped envelope so we can mail your tickets to you.
3. If you have children aged 6 or 7 and are not required to file a Declaration yet, include a
note listing each child’s name and age.
4. A brief explanation of why your school district did not provide tickets.
5. The name and phone number of the district staff member you spoke with.
6. Your name and phone number in case we need to follow up.
You will receive:
One ticket per homeschooled student (ages 6–18)
One Educational Employee Ticket per household
Children under age 6 do not require a ticket for entry.
Deadline:
Requests must be postmarked by Friday, August 18, 2025. Requests sent after this date will still be processed but are not guaranteed to arrive before the Fair ends.
Important Note:
Please request your tickets from only one source. Multiple requests from different organizations may jeopardize future access to the Educational Ticket Program. Help us maintain this opportunity for all homeschoolers by following the rules and only requesting one ticket per student and one educator ticket per family.
