Intro to Homeschooling Part 7: Common Core
The Common Core has zero impact on homeschoolers in the state of WA.
-
- In order for it to impact homeschoolers, RCW 28A.225.010(4), the law specifying the 11 subjects, would have to change. It has remained the same for 32 years.
- The SAT, PSAT, and ACT have been between 60-100% aligned with the CCS since 2009. During the intervening years, homeschooler’s scores have continued to rise, while public schooler’s scores have declined. The CCS have had zero impact on us.
