4-H of Snohomish County

4-H is the largest youth development organization in the U.S.  Many homeschoolers have discovered that 4-H is a great platform for their education.  The Snohomish County 4-H program offers members student-led learning opportunities, choice of subject matter, leadership practice, public speaking experience, university-approved curriculum, volunteer and staff resources, and optional opportunities for competition.  If you have a homeschool group that would like to form a 4-H club, or if you want to connect with existing clubs, just contact our office.  4-H is operated here under the authority of WSU Extension, with support from Snohomish County.

Apples of Gold Speech and Debate Club (Bothell/Lynnwood/Edmonds)

Apples of Gold is a Lincoln Douglas (1 vs 1 values) debate club. No experience is necessary. We are committed to helping students achieve their goals and grow in skill, knowledge, and confidence throughout the year. Students are encouraged to work together and spur one another on, building leadership experience, and teamwork. One of the great aspects of values debate is the deep thought and discussion it encourages. Students aged 12-18 can find new philosophical depths and examples throughout the year, but the amount of time and effort required is flexible since success is based upon the goals and interests of the student. Meetings are Mondays 3:30pm-6:30pm in the Bothell/Woodinville area. The cost is $75 per student per semester.
