Nurture Kitsap Homeschool Community
Nurture Kitsap Homeschool Community (previously North Kitsap Homeschool community) is an inclusive community offering academic enrichment and social support to homeschooling families of Kitsap County. We are a non-sectarian group. Being non-sectarian means we welcome members from all backgrounds and do not take a stance on any political, religious, or homeschool philosophies. Members are unique and diverse, representing the full spectrum of homeschooling philosophies and practices, from unschooling to participation in school district ALE programs. We welcome families from all cultural and religious backgrounds and strive to maintain an environment where all families can feel comfortable sharing their unique ideas, beliefs, traditions, interests, and talents.
Our community values and prioritizes respectful communication, mutual understanding, and empathy. We are committed to cultivating a harmonious and inclusive community that places a strong emphasis on respect, aiming to nurture lifelong learning and foster genuine friendships. We believe all interactions can be done with kindness and respect, regardless of the circumstances. All members, both adults and children, must be respectful and kind to each other despite differences of opinion, including political and religious beliefs and choices in how children are taught or raised. Our community’s health and success depend on all members committing to the practice of these values.
We meet weekly on Tuesdays in Bremerton. Our parent ran program is available to k-12 and their younger siblings. You can request membership on our website.
